In episode 5 of the High Performance Disciple podcast I share about the moment I had to face my intimidation. I had an opportunity to visit the Shard in London with a view to potentially hiring some surplus office space. The opportunity looked disproportionate to my age and stage of journey and whether it was right to do it or not wasnāt the question. It was the challenge to see myself as worthy of the opportunity.Ā
Whilst I didnāt follow through on the offer it was a breakthrough moment in seeing myself differently that led to me moving my family to London and expanding the vision for our future.

Itās time to build personal momentum
It was a cold December morning and we drove into the church car park. Leanne was already in the building and as I drove with the three children in the back of the car toward the rear of the car park I tried to brake and realised I couldnāt!
STOP THE CAR!
We were onĀ BLACK ICEĀ and at the bottom of the car park there was a dyke we were about to plunge down into.
I tried everything but nothing would slow the car downā¦it had momentum and I couldnāt stop it. I even opened the car door and tried to slow the car with my leg but bent my leg back against the curb.
Stupid idea I know but i ran out of ideas.
Thankfully the under body of the car caught the curb and this prevented the car tipping over and falling down into the dyke where ice water awaited.
That day I realised the power of momentum andĀ its unstoppable nature.
